Is it time to register you car? Do you need a safety inspection? Shire Tune & Service, in Kirrawee, is an RMS authorised vehicle inspection station. This means that we are able to meet your RMS auto registration safety inspection needs. A rego check (for what used to be the pink slip) costs $40, which is the standard fee. After the inspection we will either pass your car, or let you know what needs to be done in order to be able to register your car as road worthy for another year. Shire Tune & Service is a registered e-Safety Check station, which means that once your car passes the car registration check at Shire Tune & Service, and have had your CTP insurance sent electronically to the Roads and Maritime Services (replacing Roads and Traffic Authority) by your insurer, you don’t have to visit an Roads and Maritime Services office, but can pay for your RMS car registration online using your credit card or BPAY. If you don’t want to pay for your rego online, you are still able to pay at an RMS (Roads and Maritime Services) office and use the inspection form, just as you would the old pink slip.
